Service Event at DC Central Kitchen

We have monthly service events at DC Central Kitchen! Our next event is coming up this Wednesday, May 24 from 5pm – 8pm, and we have several volunteer slots still available. Please register in advance on Volunteer Match. Questions about volunteering? Email Katy!

Baker’s Man Film Event and Annual Meeting & Spring Reception

On June 3 and 4, 2-time Ohio State alum and National Champion football player Maurice Hall joins OSUDC for 2 great events!

Saturday, June 3, Maurice Hall brings his film “Baker’s Man” to DC for an exclusive, private matinee screening! The film will be followed by a Q&A with Maurice. Tickets to this event are $20 for OSUDC members, $25 for non-members.

Sunday, June 4 is our Annual Meeting and Spring Reception at Parlay Sports Bar & Lounge. This is our biggest club event of the year and includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine, great raffle prizes, silent and live auctions for our club football tickets, and special guest speaker Maurice Hall! We’re also thrilled to present our 2017 scholarship recipients and their families. Tickets to this event are $50 for OSUDC members, $70 for non-members (non-member price includes your 2017-2018 membership).

Buy one ticket to both events for $60 for members, $80 for non-members!

Maurice attended The Ohio State University where he was a member of the National Championship Football Team in 2002. Maurice scored the game winning touchdowns against The University of Illinois and the University of Michigan in the National Championship season. Maurice graduated from OSU with a degree in Strategic Communications and a Masters degree in Sports Administration.

Adopt-A-Highway

OSUDC has service events in Fairfax County for Adopt-A-Highway throughout the year! Our next event is this Saturday, May 27, from 9am – 12pm!

We meet at the McDonald’s at the intersection of Lee Chapel Rd. and Old Keene Mill Rd. in Burke, VA at 9:00am on the pickup date. The pickup is cancelled in the event of rain. Please contact Phil Gbur if you have any questions.

Please note that this is an age 18+ years event, per DMV safety rules.
