Winter Social This Saturday: Meet SB Nation’s Matt Brown!
What if Chicago never shut down their powerhouse football program and left the Big Ten? What if Notre Dame joined a national conference back in the 1960s? What if LaVell Edwards took the Miami job, or if Bear Bryant stuck around at Maryland? How would college football history be different? We’ll be discussing this and more with Matt Brown, Ohio State alum and author of What If? A Closer Look at College Football’s Great Questions, at our Winter Social this Saturday, February 24 at Tommy Joe’s in Bethesda at 11:30am. Meet author Matt Brown, Ohio State alum and college league manager for SB Nation, as he discusses his book and college football! A limited number of books will be available to purchase. Please register on the event page on our website!
Next Wednesday, February 28, 2018 is the second annual Buckeye Day of Giving! Support our Spearman Scholarship Fund here.
Established April 1, 1983, by alumni and friends in the metropolitan Washington, DC area, our Spearman Scholarship Fund offers three $2,500 merit-based scholarship awards each year. Through a competitive application process, applicants are evaluated based on academic, work, and extracurricular performance. The Scholarships are one-time, non-renewable awards that are applied to the student’s freshman year tuition at Ohio State. Learn more here.
WAIP Crowdfunding
The John Glenn College of Public Affairs offers an exciting opportunity for Ohio State students to live and work here in DC, and we are proud to partner with the Washington Academic Internship Program for social and service events all year long! This month marks the third annual WAIP crowdfunding campaign, which raises money to bring students here to DC on a full housing scholarship. Make your gift now (or any time throughout the month of February) to help support these incredible students! Alumni: your contribution counts towards your OSUAA $75 sustaining membership!
