Letter from the president: membership model change
Mar 8, 2019The Ohio State University Alumni Association has introduced a new way for alumni clubs to collect membership dues. Members can join an alumni club by donating directly to an Ohio State fund. This makes dues tax deductible and count toward OSUAA sustaining membership.
After thoughtful consideration, the Alumni Club of Greater Washington, D.C. has decided to install this change as it benefits both the club and our members.
Going forward, our membership year will run from January through December, instead of July through June. If you’ve already paid membership dues between July 2018 and now, you don’t need to do anything at this time. You’ll get on the new membership calendar in January 2020.
We’ll offer two membership levels: (1) OSUDC membership only at $25 per year, or (2) OSUDC membership with OSUAA sustaining membership at $75 per year. More information about membership levels and benefits can be found here.
Membership with OSUDC helps you connect with fellow Buckeyes in the greater Washington area. Your donation supports local students through the club’s Spearman Scholarship Fund, and grants you access to members-only discounts and events.
Think back on your time at Ohio State. The classes. The activities. The friends you made. Rekindle some of that Scarlet and Gray spirit. We hope you’ll join or renew today!
