Make your end-of-year tax-deductible donation by Thursday!

Happy last week of 2020! Looking to make your final donations of the tax year? We have two ways for you to contribute to OSUDC with a tax-deductible donation: our Spearman Scholarship Fund, which we use to award scholarship money to incoming Ohio State students from DC, Maryland, and Virginia, and our Current Use Fund, which OSUDC uses for programming for alumni throughout the DC region. A donation of at least $25 to our Current Use Fund pays your dues as a member of OSUDC! Learn more about membership below.

Making your donations through The Ohio State University’s official giving website will ensure your payment confirmation and donation receipt is emailed to you. Questions about tax-deductible contributions to OSUDC? Email our treasurer.

RENEW OR JOIN OSUDC

The OSUDC membership year now runs on the calendar year from January 1 – December 31. For $25, you are a member of OSUDC; for $75+, you are a member of OSUDC and a sustaining member of OSUAA, which makes you eligible for OSUAA benefits such as football tickets. Membership dues are tax deductible contributions to our OSUAA current use fund that makes programming available to area alumni. Dues can be paid at one time, or you can set up recurring payments.

We offer two ways to become a member:

Option 1) Yearly Membership to Alumni Club of Washington, D.C. | Join now

If you simply want to join the Alumni Club of Washington, D.C. you can do so for a modest donation of $25 per year. This option is open to both Ohio State alumni and Ohio State fans.

Option 2) Yearly sustaining membership to OSUAA + Alumni Club of Washington, D.C. | Join now

Becoming a sustaining member of The Ohio State University Alumni Association requires a yearly donation of $75 (which makes alumni eligible for football tickets and other great benefits). By allocating a yearly donation of $75 or more to the Alumni Club of Washington, D.C., you will get access to OSUAA benefits and Alumni Club of Washington, D.C. incentives. If you have any questions, please contact our membership chair, Alex Temple, at membership@osudc.org, or our treasurer, Melissa Harto, at treasurer@osudc.org.

Help send DC-area students to Ohio State!

Our Buckeye Game Day raffles are one of our biggest scholarship fundraisers every year. In lieu of in-person Game Day events, we have a Football Squares fundraiser for every 2020 Buckeye football game! Winners receive a $50 gift card. For the Sugar Bowl on Friday, January 1, enter the game and choose your squares here. Squares are $3 each, $20 for 10, or $30 for 20! Payment must be submitted to OSUDC within 1 hour of selecting your squares. Please click here for the complete rules and information for our 2020 scholarship fundraiser.

As of November 1, the Alumni Scholars Program application is live! Please share with any high school seniors you know who plan to attend Ohio State. OSUDC’s Spearman Scholarship is awarded to incoming first-year students from DC, MD, and VA. If the student you know lives somewhere else, please still share this link: it has information on the Alumni Scholars Program from Ohio State Alumni Clubs across the nation! Questions? Email scholarships@osudc.org

Buckeye Game Day 2020 Update

In June 2020, OSUDC voted to not host in-person Game Day events this year.

While OSUDC is not hosting official game watch parties this season, all of our OSUDC Partner Bars will be featuring the Buckeyes games all season with sound on. If you are in the neighborhood, please consider supporting these local businesses by ordering carry-out or delivery. Don’t miss the great special offers for Buckeye fans! You can find detailed information on all six of our partner bars throughout the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area on our Buckeye Game Day page.

Should Ohio State fans choose to attend one of our bars in person to watch Buckeye football, please note the COVID protocols in place at our respective bars, listed on our Buckeye Game Day page.
