Great Lakes Brewing Company Virtual Tasting Event

Are you a fan of Great Lakes Brewing Company? Have you ever wondered how they brew the beer and what makes it so good? If so, please join OSUDC for our virtual Great Lakes Brewing Company beer tasting hosted by Cleveland’s own, Mike Williams, from The Great Lakes Brewing Company’s Hops College goes over history and flavor profiles from Ohio’s first craft brewery. All registrants will be automatically entered to win a GLBC prize pack! Join us on Thursday, May 13 at 7 pm by clicking here.

Can’t make it on the 13th at 7 pm? No problem, you can still join in! The tasting will be recorded and posted to OSUDC’s YouTube channel so you can participate in this event on your own time. All you need to do is sign up to get the supplies! The video will be shared with everyone who is registered within 24 hours after the event.

Cost:  $20 for the tasting kit which includes:

6 beer varieties from Great Lakes Brewing Company

  • Plastic tasting cups
  • Great Lakes Brewing Company swag
  • Automatic entry for the GLBC prize pack (GLBC Hoodie, pint glass and Hop College for two)

Additional Details

  • Beer pick-up will be available on or about May 6th. Registrants will receive an email from OSUDC letting you know when the tasting kit is ready for pickup.
  • All sales are final – No refunds.
  • You must be 21 years old to participate.
  • Day of event attendance is not required to win the GLBC prize pack.
  • Please call or visit the website for each pick up location store hours and COVID-19 protocols.
  • The Brew Shop in Arlington does not allow walk-ins. Call ahead when you plan to pick up the product.

RENEW OR JOIN OSUDC

The OSUDC membership year now runs on the calendar year from January 1 – December 31. For $25, you are a member of OSUDC; for $75+, you are a member of OSUDC and a sustaining member of OSUAA, which makes you eligible for OSUAA benefits such as football tickets. Membership dues are tax deductible contributions to our OSUAA current use fund that makes programming available to area alumni. Dues can be paid at one time, or you can set up recurring payments.

We offer two ways to become a member:

Option 1) Yearly Membership to Alumni Club of Washington, D.C. | Join now

If you simply want to join the Alumni Club of Washington, D.C. you can do so for a modest donation of $25 per year. This option is open to both Ohio State alumni and Ohio State fans.

Option 2) Yearly sustaining membership to OSUAA + Alumni Club of Washington, D.C. | Join now

Becoming a sustaining member of The Ohio State University Alumni Association requires a yearly donation of $75 (which makes alumni eligible for football tickets and other great benefits). By allocating a yearly donation of $75 or more to the Alumni Club of Washington, D.C., you will get access to OSUAA benefits and Alumni Club of Washington, D.C. incentives. If you have any questions, please contact our membership chair, Alex Temple, at membership@osudc.org, or our treasurer, Melissa Harto, at treasurer@osudc.org.
