OSUDC Annual Meeting 2022

Our Annual Meeting will be held at New District Brewing Company in Arlington, Virginia, next Sunday, July 10, from 5-8pm. Our keynote speaker is Ohio State alum Michael C. Bender, New York Times political correspondent who covered the White House for the Wall Street Journal during the 2020 presidential election. Your ticket includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, beer and soft drinks, and a live auction for every 2022 home football game in our President’s Club seats! Join us for this indoor/outdoor event with fellow Buckeyes, enjoy local beer (brewed in the building!), and help us raise money for our scholarship fund, plus meet our 2022 scholarship recipients and their families. Attendees will receive a souvenir OSUDC pint glass. All sales are final.

DC United vs. Columbus Crew

Join OSUDC at Audi Field on Wednesday, July 13th at 8pm as D.C. United takes on the Columbus Crew. Whether you support D.C. United or are a part of the Nordecke, all are welcome! All tickets are in Section 115 and $5 of every ticket sold goes to OSUDC’s Spearman Scholarship Fund. Just Announced: Washington Spirit Outing

Join OSUDC at Audi Field on Sunday, July 17th at 5pm as the Washington Spirit takes on the Orlando Pride. $5 from each ticket sold will be donated to OSUDC’s Spearman Scholarship Fund. Sit in Section 126 – the OSUDC featured section! – and hang out with your fellow Buckeyes as we cheer on the Spirit! 2 Upcoming Mystics Outings

We have TWO great family-friendly Mystics events coming up this summer! First up, on Thursday, July 21, take the day and bring the kids to the Mystics vs. Liberty at Capital One Arena at 11:30am!

Then on Sunday, August 14, bring the whole family to cheer on the Mystics against the Indiana Fever at the Entertainment & Sports Arena at 3pm!

Each ticket purchased through our Fevo link includes a $5 donation to our Spearman Scholarship Fund! Please note these events are at different locationsFind additional details on the OSUDC website.
 


B1G Night at the Nats

Join Big Ten students, alumni, and fans as they represent the Big Ten Conference by wearing school colors at Nationals Park when the Nats host the Cubs on August 15 at 7:05 PM!

With the purchase of a special ticket, fans will receive an $8 concession credit.



Wish Our VP Happy Birthday With a Donation to Our Spearman Scholarship Fund!

Our very own Melissa Wasser, OSUDC’s Vice President and Game Day Coordinator, just celebrated a milestone birthday! To celebrate, she’s raising money for our Spearman Scholarship Fund, as well as scholarships for the Moritz College of Law. Check out her Buckeye Funder here and make your gift today!

 


OSUDC has service events in Fairfax County for Adopt-A-Highway throughout the year!

We meet at the McDonald’s at the intersection of Lee Chapel Rd. and Old Keene Mill Rd. in Burke, VA at 9:00am on the pickup date. The pickup is cancelled in the event of rain. Please contact Phil Gbur if you have any questions.

Please note that this is an age 18+ years event, per DMV safety rules. Events may be canceled/rescheduled due to COVID-19 restrictions, this event will be updated if and when that happens.

OSUDC Softball is in full swing!

After two-season COVID hiatus, the Ohio Cup returns this Saturday, June 18! ⁦OSUDC⁩ softball takes on Dayton, Ohio, and Xavier on, naturally, Ohio Drive. There is still lots of softball left this season, so come join us! Email Renita for more information.

OSUDC is Club of the Year!

We are thrilled to share that The Ohio State Alumni Club of Greater Washington, DC was recognized as The Ohio State University Alumni Association’s 2021 Club of the Year! Thank you to all of the Buckeye alumni and friends who joined us for virtual event programming throughout the 2020-2021 year.

Our Virtual Beer Tasting event in partnership with Great Lakes Brewing Company was also awarded Innovative Program of the Year!

We can’t wait to see you at an OSUDC event soon. And stay tuned for more videos from our recent and future virtual events to be posted to our YouTube channel.


RENEW OR JOIN OSUDC

The OSUDC membership year runs on the calendar year from January 1 – December 31. For $25, you are a member of OSUDC; for $75+, you are a member of OSUDC and a sustaining member of OSUAA, which makes you eligible for OSUAA benefits such as football tickets. Membership dues are tax deductible contributions to our OSUAA current use fund that makes programming available to area alumni. Dues can be paid at one time, or you can set up recurring payments.

We offer two ways to become a member:

Option 1) Yearly Membership to Alumni Club of Washington, D.C. | Join now

If you simply want to join the Alumni Club of Washington, D.C. you can do so for a modest donation of $25 per year. This option is open to both Ohio State alumni and Ohio State fans.

Option 2) Yearly sustaining membership to OSUAA + Alumni Club of Washington, D.C. | Join now

Becoming a sustaining member of The Ohio State University Alumni Association requires a yearly donation of $75 (which makes alumni eligible for football tickets and other great benefits). By allocating a yearly donation of $75 or more to the Alumni Club of Washington, D.C., you will get access to OSUAA benefits and Alumni Club of Washington, D.C. incentives. If you have any questions, please contact our membership chair, Alex Temple, at membership@osudc.org, or our treasurer, Melissa Harto, at treasurer@osudc.org.
