Butler’s Orchard Pumpkin Festival

Join OSUDC and fellow Buckeyes from around the DC area at the Butler’s Orchard Pumpkin Festival in Germantown, MD on Saturday, October 15!

Tickets are $15 in advance (online), $17 at the gate (if available!) Children under 24 months old are admitted for free.

Please note: tickets will sell out most weekend days, purchasing tickets in advance is highly recommended!

Festival admission includes family-friendly activities including the Hayride, Hilltop Hop Jump Pad, Twisted Corn Maze, Straw Maze, Pedal Tractors, farm animals, and more, as well as access to Pick Your Own at the Pumpkin Patch!

We’ll be there starting at 10am; please plan to come at whatever time works best for you, and wear your scarlet and gray!
 

Light the Night with the B1G Ten

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s “Light The Night” event takes place on the National Mall on Saturday, October 22. This event involves gathering as a community to celebrate, honor, and remember those impacted by blood cancers. If you’re interested in joining a Big Ten team, please email Community Events Coordinator Nancy LaVerda at nlaverda@gwu.edu for more information.

Ohio State @ Maryland

Tailgate Registration is now open!

Join OSUDC as the Ohio State Buckeyes visit the Maryland Terrapins this season on Saturday, November 19, 2022. OSUDC acquired a block of tickets for the football game, and each ticket includes a $5 donation to OSUDC’s Spearman Scholarship Fund. Click here to purchase tickets in our sections directly from the University of Maryland.

Tailgate
The OSUDC pre-game tailgate will take place in the C1 lot before the game with a menu provided by OSUDC Game Day partner Blackfinn Ameripub. Click here to register now. See below for parking information.


Ticket Pricing
Upper level tickets cost $77.99(including fees). Seats are located in the upper level, sections 302 and 303 on the north side of the stadium.

Lower level tickets cost $101.14 (including fees). Seats are located in the lower level, between sections 3, 202, and 203. A football seating chart for all sections is available here.

Time
The game time is TBD, Saturday, November 19th. A game time will likely be released one week before the game.

Metro
The nearest metro is College Park (green/yellow). The metro station is a distance from the football stadium, but there are Metrobus and University shuttles from the stadium. 

Parking
The OSUDC pre-game tailgate will take place in the C1 lot before the game with a menu provided by OSUDC Game Day partner Blackfinn Ameripub. We have officially sold out of parking passes in the C1 lot! If you purchased a pass, you should have received an email to confirm that we received your request and our treasurer received your payment. We have NOT yet sent out passes, but they are coming soon!

There are VERY LIMITED parking spaces outside of the C1 lot still available, which can be purchased directly from the University of Maryland here. You can also find information on special event parking at the College Park Metro garage here.

OSUDC has service events in Fairfax County for Adopt-A-Highway throughout the year!

We meet at the McDonald’s at the intersection of Lee Chapel Rd. and Old Keene Mill Rd. in Burke, VA at 9:00am on the pickup date. The pickup is cancelled in the event of rain. Please contact Phil Gbur if you have any questions.

Please note that this is an age 18+ years event, per DMV safety rules. Events may be canceled/rescheduled due to COVID-19 restrictions, this event will be updated if and when that happens.

We are thrilled to share that The Ohio State Alumni Club of Greater Washington, DC was recognized as The Ohio State University Alumni Association’s 2021 Club of the Year! Thank you to all of the Buckeye alumni and friends who joined us for virtual event programming throughout the 2020-2021 year.

Our Virtual Beer Tasting event in partnership with Great Lakes Brewing Company was also awarded Innovative Program of the Year!
