The 3rd annual Big Ten Fun Run will take place starting at Salt Line DC at 10:30am this Sunday, April 28! The fun run is self-timed and a bag watch will be available. Wear Ohio State apparel and stick around for socializing at Salt Line afterwards. One lap of the course is a 5k and two is a full 10k. Come cheer on your school and see who the fastest Big Ten alumni chapter is in DC! Register and find more information here.

OSUDC has service events in Fairfax County for Adopt-A-Highway throughout the year!

We meet at the McDonald’s at the intersection of Lee Chapel Rd. and Old Keene Mill Rd. in Burke, VA at 9:00am on the pickup date. The pickup is cancelled in the event of rain. Please contact Phil Gbur if you have any questions.

Please note that this is an age 18+ years event, per DMV safety rules. Events may be canceled/rescheduled due to COVID-19 restrictions, this event will be updated if and when that happens.


The Science of Polarization and Misinformation

You’re invited to join fellow alumni and friends for an engaging evening with the College of Arts and Sciences.

The Collaborative on the Science of Polarization and Misinformation (C-SPAM) is an interdisciplinary project dedicated to understanding the core psychological factors that contribute to the polarization of beliefs and attitudes.

Dr. Duane Wegener, chair of the Department of Psychology, and department faculty, Russ Fazio and Rich Petty , will lead a discussion and answer questions on belief polarization and the causes, spread and detection of false or misleading information in our everyday lives.

5:30 p.m. — Doors open for registration 
5:45 – 6:15 p.m. — Networking
6:15 – 6:30 p.m. — Welcome and introductions
6:30 – 7 p.m. — Faculty discussion 
7 – 7:30 p.m. — Q&A and reception continues

Play Softball With OSUDC!

Softball is in full swing! Our games start on April 19, and we are still taking players. Cost for the regular season is $50 and there will be an additional cost for the tournament.

Are you looking for a fun summer sport activity? Join the softball team! We will play other alumni groups in the greater DC area. Pay $50 for 12-14 games played in DC, plus a huge tournament in August. Payment avenues are listed below.

Friendship Place Walk to End Homelessness

Join the Friendship Place Walk to End Homelessness on Saturday, April 27. The Friendship Place Walk to End Homelessness is the annual walk in our nation’s capital aimed at bringing awareness and resources to the work to end homelessness. Folks interested in the walk will meet at the Reflecting Pool at the base of the Lincoln Memorial. Registration and fun start at 9:30am, with the program and Walk beginning at 10:30am. Come out and show your Buckeye pride as the Nationals host Ohio State Alumni Day at the ballpark! Join Ohio State alumni, students, parents, faculty and fans as the Buckeyes take over the ballpark for a day on Saturday, August 3.

Our 2024 membership year has begun! Ohio State Alumni includes individuals who have earned associate’s, bachelor’s, graduate, professional, or honorary degrees from Ohio State, as well as medical resident graduates of the university. Yearly Life Donor membership to OSUAA + a one-year membership in OSUDC.

  • This option is for alumniof Ohio State and is achieved with a gift of $150 or $10/monthly to the OSUDC support fund.
  • Life donors receive early access to purchase football tickets, the print edition of the Ohio State Alumni magazine, and special communications from OSUAA President and CEO Molly Ranz Calhoun.
