Commanders vs. Browns
Join OSUDC at FedEx Field to cheer on the Washington Commanders against the Cleveland Browns next Sunday, October 6 at 1 p.m.! Every ticket purchased includes a $10 donation to the Spearman Scholarship fund and a custom co-branded Commanders x OSUDC hat. New shuttle options this year from our friends at Crystal City Sports Pub: (1) the TAILGATE & RIDE option is $60/person and includes the ride to the game and back to CCSP, pre-game food, and select beverages; or (2) the RIDE option is $35/person and includes the ride to the game and back to CCSP only. The pre-game food will open at 9:45am-10am and for all shuttle ticket holders, the shuttle will depart from the back parking lot of CCSP at 11am for a 1pm kickoff. Bus will depart the Bus Parking Lot at the stadium to return to CCSP 30 minutes after the game has concluded. You can purchase your seat directly and find more information on CCSP’s website. Call for Volunteers!
The Law and Society and International Affairs Scholars are visiting DC for their fall break and they are seeking alumni volunteers on Thursday, October 10 from 9:30am-12:30pm to join a panel of professionals. A catered networking luncheon from 12:30pm – 2:30pm provides an extended opportunity for Scholars to engage in meaningful dialogue with fellow Buckeyes, expand their professional network, explore opportunities for guidance and mentorship, and learn about potential internships and job prospects.
Volunteers are also needed on Friday, October 11 to host a visit and study tour of various work environments. If interested in either opportunity, please email Jill Klimpel, International Affairs Scholars Program Manager, at klimpel.1@osu.edu; and/or Devika Carr, Esq., Law and Society Scholars Program Manager, carr.285@osu.edu.

Bye Week at the Zoo
No Buckeye football? No problem!! October 19th is a BYE week for Ohio State football and a perfect fall day to visit the many animals in the zoo. This event is for all kids aged 0 to 99! This is a free ticketed event. Be sure to register so your tickets can be emailed directly to you. We will be selecting a meetup location based on the majority of the group. We will meet at 10am to take a group photo and then enjoy the park afterwards. Parking is not included in this ticket. Email Renita if you have any questions.
BellRinger Ride
BellRinger is a community uniting to support cancer research breakthroughs at Georgetown University’s Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. Choose to ride 25, 50, or 100 miles from Washington, D.C. to scenic Maryland on Saturday, October 26, 2024 and join thousands of others for a weekend you won’t soon forget. If biking isn’t your thing, join us as a volunteer and help keep the energy high every mile of the route. Register to ride, or catch a glimpse of the BellRinger experience here.
OSUDC has service events in Fairfax County for Adopt-A-Highway throughout the year!
We meet at the McDonald’s at the intersection of Lee Chapel Rd. and Old Keene Mill Rd. in Burke, VA at 9:00am on the pickup date. The pickup is cancelled in the event of rain. Please contact Phil Gbur if you have any questions.
Please note that this is an age 18+ years event, per DMV safety rules. Events may be canceled/rescheduled due to COVID-19 restrictions, this event will be updated if and when that happens.

Our 2024 membership year has begun! Ohio State Alumni includes individuals who have earned associate’s, bachelor’s, graduate, professional, or honorary degrees from Ohio State, as well as medical resident graduates of the university. All Buckeye fans and supporters are welcome to join and be a part of the Alumni Club of Washington, D.C. Your membership in OSUDC provides the following benefits:

Membership renewal: Annual memberships for both OSUDC and The Ohio State University Alumni Association begin as early as January 1 of each year and expire on December 31 of the same calendar year. membership fees do not vary for those who join after January 1.

Option 1) Alumni Donor | Join now
Yearly Alumni Donor membership to OSUAA + a one-year membership in OSUDC.
- This option is for alumniof Ohio State and is achieved with a gift of $25 or more to OSUDC’s support fund, found here.
- Alumni donors receive early access to purchase football tickets through the university.
Option 2) Life Donor | Join now
Yearly Life Donor membership to OSUAA + a one-year membership in OSUDC.
- This option is for alumniof Ohio State and is achieved with a gift of $150 or $10/monthly to the OSUDC support fund.
- Life donors receive early access to purchase football tickets, the print edition of the Ohio State Alumni magazine, and special communications from OSUAA President and CEO Molly Ranz Calhoun.
