“A Buckeye Adventure Across America” with Imran Nuri

Hosted by the Alumni Club of Tuscarawas County, join OSUDC and Buckeyes across America next Wednesday, November 6 at 6:30pm to virtually hear from Imran Nuri (BSBA ’20), an artist and author based in Chicago, who is best known for his photo series and book, Advice From America. Register here and be sure to select “Alumni Club of Washington, DC” when prompted.

Driving over 15,000 miles in the span of 84 days in 2022, he went searching for the meaning of life by asking 1,000 strangers across the lower 48 U.S. states about what they wished they had known earlier and photographing each of them on a 50-year-old film camera. Imran’s talk presents his journey across America and the findings of 1,000 pieces of advice from strangers to show what Americans believe to be true about making the most of life. When you purchase your Thanksgiving pie from Food & Friends, you contribute to every step that goes into providing one full day of meals for our neighbors living with critical illnesses.

OSUDC has service events in Fairfax County for Adopt-A-Highway throughout the year!

We meet at the McDonald’s at the intersection of Lee Chapel Rd. and Old Keene Mill Rd. in Burke, VA at 9:00am on the pickup date. The pickup is cancelled in the event of rain. Please contact Phil Gbur if you have any questions.

Please note that this is an age 18+ years event, per DMV safety rules. Events may be canceled/rescheduled due to COVID-19 restrictions, this event will be updated if and when that happens.

Our 2024 membership year has begun! Ohio State Alumni includes individuals who have earned associate’s, bachelor’s, graduate, professional, or honorary degrees from Ohio State, as well as medical resident graduates of the university. All Buckeye fans and supporters are welcome to join and be a part of the Alumni Club of Washington, D.C. Your membership in OSUDC provides the following benefits:

Membership dues are tax deductible
Exclusive access to member only events
Automatic Entry into raffles for free tickets to sports and cultural events
Free or discounted pricing for all OSUDC events
Be the first to hear about educational and enriching experiences in the DC metro area hosted by the university and/or OSUDC

Membership renewal: Annual memberships for both OSUDC and The Ohio State University Alumni Association begin as early as January 1 of each year and expire on December 31 of the same calendar year. membership fees do not vary for those who join after January 1.

Two ways to join:

Option 1) Alumni Donor | Join now

Yearly Alumni Donor membership to OSUAA + a one-year membership in OSUDC.

This option is for alumniof Ohio State and is achieved with a gift of $25 or more to OSUDC’s support fund, found here.
Alumni donors receive early access to purchase football tickets through the university.

Option 2) Life Donor | Join now

Yearly Life Donor membership to OSUAA + a one-year membership in OSUDC.

This option is for alumniof Ohio State and is achieved with a gift of $150 or $10/monthly to the OSUDC support fund.
Life donors receive early access to purchase football tickets, the print edition of the Ohio State Alumni magazine, and special communications from OSUAA President and CEO Molly Ranz Calhoun.
